A little more about the department

The department consists of six experienced members of staff.  We are:

Miss Howe: Leader of English

Miss Morris: Second in department and literacy co-ordinator

Miss Markham

We’re an enthusiastic department and want you to enjoy studying English.  As a consequence, we make sure you have a wide range of opportunities to have fun learning more about the subject, from fancy dress competitions for World Book Day (Be prepared you might well wander down to corridor to discover Miss Morris in full pig costume or find Miss Jones has been replaced by the Queen of Hearts!), book swaps, theatre trips and residential visits.  We are also in the process of establishing a magazine to showcase the work of all you talented writers; be sure to check back soon for more information.
