Key Stage 3
In key stage 3 pupils have the opportunity to study a variety of religious and philosophical beliefs, teachings and practices. This enables pupils to develop an understanding of the multi cultural world in which we live. For example, they study facts, festivals and beliefs associated with Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Christianity and Judaism. They will also compare and contrast the various places of worship as part of their studies. As an extended learning opportunity, pupils in year 8 will attend a ‘Faith Trail’. Here pupils will attend various places of worship throughout Cardiff.
Throughout key stage three, pupils have the opportunity to engage in various engaging activities such as; creating Buddhist mandalas, story mountains, Pasg Hapus/ Easter cards reflecting the Christian beliefs about Easter and summary posters.
