CAST :: SPONSORSHIP :: COSTUMES

This year's School Production is "High School Musical"! The cast has been announced after the auditions which saw 80 pupils battling it out for the leading roles!

There was so much competition that Mrs. Smith has double-cast the main roles. This makes it harder to rehearse but gives more people a chance to shine. It also means that the audience will be treated to two different performances if they come on different nights!

The show is on July 7th and runs until July 10th.
Ticket Prices are to be confirmed. Check back soon!

A show such as HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL costs a great deal of money to put on and includes hiring the rights, the set, costumes, lighting and sound equipment. As the show is completely self- funding we always have to do activities to raise the funds and will be doing a sponsored rehearsal as usual which is always very successful. Details of this will follow at a later date.

There is always a raffle drawn on the nights of the show but this year we are hoping to have a bigger raffle with tickets printed that say what prizes are on offer and that we will sell in the run up to the show. We need to know if anyone is willing to donate a prize. You may know a business that is willing to offer something and when I have run raffles like this is in the past we have been lucky enough to have prizes such as TV's, DVD players, champagne or beauty vouchers. If you can help please let me know as soon as possible so I can put it on the raffle ticket. You will receive recognition in the programme for your donation.

All main cast and chorus are expected to get their own costumes and personal props this year. It is not a ‘period’ show and so we will only hire things like the cheerleading outfits and basketball strip. I have asked all the pupils to watch the film carefully and to pick one actor to base their costume on. They have all been put into a group:
  • THESPIANS
  • SKATER DUDES
  • JOCKS
  • BRAINIACS

They should also bare this in mind. The costumes need to be colourful. The last scene will also require everyone to dress in Red & White.
