Jane Hutt, was at the ceremony to speak to award winners. She said: “I’d like to congratulate all the schools, businesses and organisations for their participation, support and excellent achievements, as well as thank everyone for all the hard work they have put in to enrich learning for so many young people. “In these challenging times, I would particularly like to thank businesses for their continued engagement. It is not easy balancing the bottom line with wider social needs, but it’s something that we recognise must be done.” “This ceremony is a tribute to a successful and flourishing partnership and I would like to thank all the teachers for their skill and continuing dedication in helping to encourage and support pupils; employers for willingly giving so much of their time to support schools; and Careers Wales staff for their efforts in bringing everyone together and making all this possible.”
