Design Technology Rotary Competition Was Again First Class!
During the month May, the Design Technology Department hosted the Rotary Innovation Competition. The Rotary Club panel led by Mr Tom Carnduff, judged A Level students' work in an innovation based competition.
Each student had to display their work and discuss their concepts with the judges.
1st Prize £25 Luke Dee– recycled knives and forks mobile sculpture
2nd Prize £15 Geoffrey Barrett - retractable Surf leash
3rd Prize £10 Matthew Jackson- Architectural proposal for a new Park/ play area in Llantwit.
The judges remarked that there was a strong field as always and praised the students for the high quality of their designing and making. Well done and congratulations to the students and to the team of committed Design Technology Teachers!
