Llantwit Major Science Department - Key Stage Three
Llantwit Major Science department strives to offer our students an outstanding range of scientific experiences at Key Stage 3. The department builds on the achievements made at Key Stage 2 and gives the students a variety of experiences that promotes development of scientific knowledge and key skills for all our pupils.
We have introduced a new program of study in Key Stage 3 to broaden our student's scientific awareness and to rapidly develop key skills needed to support students throughout their educational career.
The program of study for students is designed to stimulate the imagination about science and technology. In order to give our students the best opportunity we have detailed the topics covered in each year group and included a copy of the student work booklet.

Year 8 & 9 exam - Revision topic areas
You will have a science examination during the week starting 7th June – this is the first week after half term
Your science teachers will tell you exactly when this will be
In one of your science lessons you will sit a written exam paper which will take the lesson to complete
It will have a mixture of questions from the topics you have covered in science:
- Year 8 - you will have to revise topics from years 7 and 8
