Year 8 pupil Lizzie Dare from Llantwit Major School was invited to compete in an international gymnastics competition on 17^th & 18^th Feb in Florida, USA.  The

competition saw gymnasts from across the world competing as well as the young Olympic hopefuls from the USA.  Lizzie did fantastically well and brought home the gold medal on beam and silver on vault.  She was placed 6^th overall in the

all-around competition.   Lizzie trains at the Welsh Institute of Sport for up to 30 hours a week.  As well as fitting in international club competitions she also competes for the school and county.  Congratulations Lizzie we do hope to see more of you in the future!
